Why become a partner — or, to put it another words, why become part of the Lion Family?

We’ll call it a “partnership with Lion of Judah” here — in the original Greek text of the New Testament, the word is “ekklesia,” which is commonly translated as “church,” but actually has nothing to do with buildings or walls.

Perhaps “congregation” is a better translation, though “ekklesia” was originally understood as an assembly or gathering of people — and, in the biblical sense, as a gathering of people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

Until just a few decades ago, this “ekklesia” was only possible on a local level.
Thanks to advancing technology — such as the telephone, the internet, smartphones, and modern transportation — this has changed. 🙂

The decision to accept this Jesus from the Bible as your Lord — and thus to feel that you belong to this “Body of Christ” with all your “rights and responsibilities” — is the only prerequisite you must have fulfilled beforehand in order to become a part of Lion of Judah, His “Lionfamily.”

It’s as important to mention right from the start that we at Lion of Judah don’t place any value on membership numbers whatsoever!
As described in the vision, the main focus of this ministry of God is to be and become a family — HIS “lion family” — and to build HIS kingdom together.

We want to be brothers and sisters, a family to one another — not by birth, but by our own free choice —
only to achieve this, each and every one of us must be willing to do so!

According to God’s Word (_{e.g., Acts chapter 2, verse 42)}, fellowship among Christians is an indispensable characteristic of the church of Jesus — and for many good reasons.
Some have already been mentioned on the home page, such as the fact that, according to the Bible, all of God’s children are one body _{(Romans 12:5)} and a healthy, functioning body consists of many parts that work together harmoniously — no member can exist on its own!

But fellowship with one another also serves our very personal protection.
From beginning to end, the Bible is full of references indicating that an individual cannot survive in the long run but will inevitably fall.
As Christians, we are not successful lone warriors — at least not for very long.
Even the first apostles, following Jesus’ instructions, did not set out alone but were always accompanied by fellow believers.

And even if we have put on the full armor of God _{(see Ephesians chapter 6, verses 11–17)} — and, above all, have learned how to use this armor to fight for God — our backs are still unprotected. 🙁
We all need a brother or sister so that we can protect one another from attacks from behind; someone who covers us and helps us back on our feet when we fall.

For each of us, fellowship with one another — whether in person, in prayer, or through email, the Internet, the phone, or the mail means:

• The enriching experience of getting to know part of our eternal family already in “this world,”
• as well as support and protection, right here in “this life,” where we still need it and can also be there for one another!

But I already belong to a congregation or church!

That’s great — we’re glad to hear it, and after all, it’s biblical for Christians to belong to a local church.
Most of us do that as well, and we can only encourage everyone else to do the same! 🙂

Lion of Judah cannot and does not intend to replace a local church; rather, we want to serve all who are “building God’s kingdom,” support one another in this work, be there for one another, and help one another to become “better,” more like HIM, and increasingly to become HIS bride.

This “Body of Christ,” to which we all belong, is not limited to a village, a city, or a country — it extends all around the world.
We have brothers and sisters in every nation; many of them are far less well-off than we are, and they would be grateful for our support.
Some are persecuted and even threatened with death because of their confession of faith in Jesus Christ — but each one of them is part of our own family and such a blessing to us!

Immediately before Jesus ascended into heaven to take His seat on the throne there as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, He gave His faithful disciples one final commission:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation!” _{(Mark 16:15).}

Yes, the fact that the Gospel is preached to the ends of the whole world is even a condition for Jesus’ return _{(Matthew chapter 24, verse 14).}
Of course, not all of us can or should quit our jobs, leave our families, and set out to go on missionary work right now.
But — all who confess Jesus Christ as their Lord also have a calling to do their part in this work for their Lord!

I am too old or too young

Right now, our youngest member is just 20, and our oldest was born way back in 1933.
And there’s still plenty of room to grow — both younger and older!
So if that’s all it takes: Come on, we’re looking forward to getting to know you!

Why 12 exactly?

The $12 annual membership fee is really more of a symbolic amount.
The most important thing for all of us was not to exclude anyone who wants to be part of Lion of Judah because of financial constraints — everyone can afford $1 a month — and if that’s really a problem for you, please get in touch and we’ll find a solution together 🙂

The fact that this amount doesn’t even cover the administrative and postage costs for our brothers and sisters is secondary.
In the same way, there may be people who say to themselves: “I’m willing to contribute these 12 euros or even more each month — after all, I’m already required to pay more in monthly broadcasting fees.”
We simply trust that our Lord Jesus is able to provide for His ministry as well. 🙂

Twelve is a number of completion. It also signifies the perfection of government or state perfection.
Our year has 12 months with 12 lunar cycles; there are 12 signs of the zodiac.
Each day and each night is divided into 12 hours, and an octave also consists of 12 semitones.
Since prehistoric times, the number 12 has been a mythical number in many cultures around the globe.

But the number 12 also has a special biblical significance.
Yes, it literally stretches from the beginning of God’s covenant people — the 12 tribes of Israel — through our Lord Jesus’ first public appearance at the age of 12 _{(Luke chapter 2, verse 42)} — His 12 disciples and the 12 apostles, all the way into the distant future.
To the appearance of the heavenly Jerusalem, with its 12 foundation stones adorned with 12 kinds of precious stones, its 12 gates made of 12 pearls with 12 angels at each gate, its dimensions of 12,000 stadia, and its wall 144 (12 x 12) cubits _{(Revelation chapter 21)} — throughout the entire Bible.
Oh yes, the trees of life will also bear fruit 12 times a year. 🙂

These are just a few examples, and they can, of course, be supplemented by many other Bible passages.
It’s just meant to give you a little insight into why the Holy Spirit has “whispered” the number 12 into our ears regarding membership.
Everything you read here on these pages has been and continues to be formulated and shaped — to the best of our ability — in close “collaboration” with the one true God, who can still be experienced here on earth today through His Holy Spirit.

What does this commit me to?

Other than your $12 annual membership fee, absolutely nothing!

Everything you want to do for, with, and as part of Lion of Judah is done entirely on a voluntary basis — nothing has value in the eyes of our God — unless you do it willingly and of your own accord!

So, if you’re now asking yourself, “Why not?!”…

As already mentioned, here at Lion of Judah we don’t place any value on membership numbers — but we’re happy to welcome every sister and every brother!

Because, at Lion of Judah, we want to be true brothers and sisters to one another and keep growing in that relationship.
We want to grow together, stand by one another, and support each other with our gifts, our “talents.”
We want to become more and more like our LORD, FRIEND, and BRIDEGROOM, Jesus Christ — and build God’s Kingdom together!

Please pray to see if perhaps it is time for you, too, to join us in advancing the Kingdom of God through this, HIS ministry — and to get to know other sisters and brothers as well.

Yes, and if you hear HIS call to do this:
Simply become part of this family — this “work” of our Lord Jesus Christ — which is meant to serve solely for HIS glory!
